India finalises Rafale deal with France

India has finally signed a direct deal with the French government to purchase 36 new Rafale fighter jets in 7.87 Billion Euros deal that is likely to bring major work to the Indian private sector in terms of offset under the 'Make in India' policy. India will also get latest latest weapons like the Meteor and Scalp missiles as part the contract, besides a 5 year support package that assures high availability of the fighter. India will pay a 15% advance and deliveries are to start in three years.
